Izumi Sushi & Hibachi

The sushi is very good and they have great lunch specials. The atmosphere is really nice in the front, there's lots of lights and cool architectural elements. The hibachi room is more plain. I got steak and scallops and my steak was cooked perfectly. The scallops were a little off which surprised me. Very attentive wait staff but, no free refills on soft drinks which we didn't realize. Overall Izumi is great I would just recommend it for sushi over hibachi.

Food was really good. I got the steak and chicken from the lunch special. They give you a lot of food so its worth the price if you go during the lunch specials. The service was good, they were attentive

Great place overall.
However, If you mentioning in menu that I need to pay at least 18% gratuity, that doesn’t mean waiters can be rude and service the table as she doesn’t really want to do it and she has other stuff to do.
Make enough menus for drinks to give for each of a guests. I understand that mostly people taking water first, but when it’s a big company and you are giving one drinks menu, staying and waiting when I’ll pick someone... and then take it right away when I chooses something, that’s a no go.
The last one, If it’s a company of 4 people and someone ordering big sake, assume that EVERYONES WILL DRINK IT. I saw first time in my life that after Sake ordering waiter bringing one cup????

Unbelievably flavorful sushi that’s meticulously crafted and presented. I live in NYC and have been to a lot of great sushi places. This easily rivals the Gari locations. The fish melts in your mouth.

Just went to Izumi with my family. I love the ambiance, it is a very modern, beautiful and fun place. The food is exceptionally good. You can sit in their dining section and order Hibachi. My favorite is Lobster tail and Steak Hibachi. I highly recommend them.
