Delicious meals and the owners are the sweetest people.
Ok so at first I did not want to write this review because this little gem of a restaurant was SO SO SO AMAZING I am afraid I won’t get a reservation in the future!
But then I thought of how sweet the owners were, I just HAD TO write my thoughts.
We had two appetizers... the burrata and the gnocchi. Both were excellent. I am Italian and usually do NOT like gnocchi from restaurants but this was absolutely delicious.
For dinner we did the fusili with eggplant and a breaded lamb chop dish topped with fresh greens. Both were perfectly cooked.
For dessert we had two cappucinos, the ricotta cheese cake and Barbara’s chocolate mousse cake. I was just as happy with the desserts as I was with the dinner!
The owners are a sweet couple... the husband cooks and Barbara the wife was prompt, funny, charming. She made us “dip” the bread into the gnocchi sauce before she would take the plate away.
If you want a terrific truly italian meal... this is the place. Plan to spend a few hours because it is a very relaxed atmosphere, no one is rushed. In fact we stayed at our table for the entire night and were so happy!
Small little place. It's good Italian for Suffolk county husband and wife operation he cooks she waits tables so service is slow but not brutal. She is very funny
