Sundays On The Bay

Excellent service and food in an attractive setting.

What a great place ! Right at the Eastern end of Dune Road in Hampton Bays. If you go any further, you will be at the Shinnecock Inlet. I would actually recommend that you drive there from the West Hampton Bridge so that you can admire all the gorgeous homes on your way. The food was fantastic, the prices were fair, and the view was incredible. It's a great destination . Went there by motorcycle, it was an absolutely fantastic ride. I did notice however, that they bring out different menus after 5 p.m., with much higher prices. That was the only thing that prevented me from giving this 5 stars.

Dining at Sundays is always delightful, but in the summertime, it is primarily a treat as one can sit outside and behold up close water views. Additionally, they often have live music on the weekends and good specials on lobsters too. My all-time favorite appetizer here is Steph's Crab Dip. This decadent melding of cheeses and crab served hot with toasted, crusty, airy bread is quite sinful, it is just that good. My husband orders the steamed clams or any raw special offered as it is always fresh and caught local. They provide regular meals including a lobster bake that is plentiful. They have excellent steaks as well. There is an indoor bar with televised sports and seating to accommodate dining. In warmer months there is an outdoor bar making Sunday's a great place to visit any day of the week. In the colder months, Steph's Crab Dip and a good cocktail will warm you right up!

Loved po-boy. 1000 calories probably. Decent wine. Outstanding views. Will come back. (Will not order clam chowder.)

Nice Sunday here, friendly staff, very good drinks and rapid service. It can be crowded so better make reservation if you want to eat.
