The Inn Spot on the Bay

A real delight at the waters edges just across from the US Coast Guard Station, on Lighthouse Road. The Inn Spot on the Bay is a quaint inn not to be missed. The dining room inside is a sunny yellow with original detailed moldings painted white. The windows offer a view of the bay as well as an outdoor dining area and lawn where outdoor weddings can take place. There are guest rooms in the main house and on the property. There is a small bar too. The menu is upscale in taste and presentation. They do a series of International themed dinners into mid-May as well as a Sunday Brunch. Check their website for which State or Country they are celebrating on the weekend. Their regular menu has favorites like Lobster Bisque, Seafood Pot Pie, Long Island Duck and much more including a homemade crisp they serve at every table. As spring turns to summer, this lull is a great time to visit as the crowds are smaller and the sunsets a bit later so one can enjoy the changing skies and sunsets.

I came to the Inn Spot on the Bay with a friend for their vegan three course dinner a few weeks ago. The service was great and the atmosphere was lovely. I can imagine it would be even better in the summer with the porch open and the views! The main course dish we both ordered was the chocolate fettuccine - it was not what we first imagined, but it was fantastic. I cannot wait go back :)
