My wife and I had dinner here yesterday. We wanted to try out this new restaurant, and our experience was memorable. We ate on the outdoor deck with a lovely view of a canal and marinas. Our server, Julie, was friendly and helpful with menu suggestions. Maria, the bartender, fixed me a great cocktail when I asked her to "surprise me."
But, best of all, was the meal. All the dishes we ordered were expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The salmon and scallop dishes we ordered included complex ingredients and accompaniments and were totally delicious. We intend to eat here often. Altogether, a great addition to the local dining scene.
Friendly, casual vibe. Second visit, great quality tasty food. Apps-lobster bisque, excellent, fried calamari, tender, tasty and crunchy, raw oyster small fresh. Main- tuna poke bowl-wonderful!, scallops with mushroom rissoto-yummy. Desserts were also terrific, key lime meringue, so good, and especially good was the chocolate peanut butter pie. We're so happy to have found Fins and Forks. It's our new go to place. They also have live music! Check it out.
Excellent addition to east end dining. Food is great, service good. Design is ok,it's near the water but without a view. Maybe some of those small battery operated table lamps would help with the Atmosphere, that at times can feel a bit sterile. Anyway very nice, Great bartender, friendly owners. I suggest you go.
Staff is lovely at Fins and Forks. The Chef, lol hose family has locally been i. the business for a long time comes out to personally check on your food and service. It was Juneteenth and we sat outside on the deck. I had the fluke tacos which were delicious. Delicately fried and so very fresh. The dressing on the tacos and the three little side dishes were delicious. My wine was delicious too. The price is right. There are a few things they could do outside to make things a little more special - table clothes, ground salt and pepper on the tables but that does not take away from the quality of the food and staff. I’ll be back again! Very casual and laid back.
I went to Fins and Forks last night with my neighbors for dinner. We sat in the Sun room which looked out on the canal. We stated with appetizers of local clams on the half shell, chicken wings with a Thai chili sauce, spicy and sweet, and a lightly breaded calamari. I love fried calamari and eat it all the time. This was the tenderest fried calamari I have ever eaten.
We had the diver scallops, served over a flavored risotto, delicious. Fish and chips, B B Q ribs and a shrimp basket. All dinners were a generous portion of food.
For dessert we all ordered the chocolate, chocolate chip ice cream. Double scoop of ice cream with large chunks of chips, a chocolate lovers Dream dessert.
The service was phenomenal by all. Our server Marie was pleasant, bubbly and very attentive.
One of the owners, Mike, very personable and friendly, stopped by our table a few times to chat and ask how we liked the food.
Great atmosphere, with some well placed T.V’s for the sports fans and an outside deck for dining. With the reasonable prices, we will definitely be going back.
A great new casual, friendly addition to Hampton Bays dining on the way to or from the beach. Our food was fresh and delicious. I had the oysters, which were only a $1.50 a piece. He had the homemade lentil soup, with lots of beef chunks in it. For a main course is we had scallops on mushroom risotto and lobster ravioli. Both were so good and large portions too. Service was friendly and precise. We will definitely be back.
I went here with my sister on opening weekend. They were serving a limited menu and adjusting their cocktail menu but said the bar could make us whatever we wanted. We had rose, oysters, crab cakes, poke bowl, and key lime torte, all of which were great. The oysters were my favorite and you can’t beat the price of half a dozen for $10. You can tell this place is run by people who have been in the neighborhood for years and I wish them the best of luck. Looking forward to returning later in the summer - such a convenient dinner spot after a day at the beach.
