Foxfire Mountain House

The most perfect weekend away. Tucked into the mountainside amidst the cutest towns in the Catskills, Foxfire is a welcome respite from any long work week. Every cocktail we had (cheers to Brian), everything we ate, and every staff member we met and worked with to plan our stay was seriously top notch and so friendly. Our room was cozy and beautifully decorated. We loved relaxing in the glass house, looking at frogs and salamanders in the pond, strolling into the woods to the river, and chilling around the campfire with artisan cocktails and craft beers. Coffee at your door in the morning, a beautiful breakfast, and such cool decor take it to the next level. We will be back. This place is a gem.

Spent time at the bar restaurant and will definitely return with friends for Brian's unique, hand constructed cocktails. The food is all locally sourced. We had to taste one of each entree. All beautifully prepared,..the select goat cheeses with olive bread, perfectly tuned mushroom parsnip salad, and beets, blood orange, fennel salad were some of the most creative vegetarian options. Cauliflower, salmon, roast chicken and real local beef steaks were equally good. Vegans are definitely not second class citizens at this place! Kudos Chef Nazie!

As soon as we came through the antique doors into the wood fire warmed lobby, I felt like we were home. The staff treated us as if we were the most important guests in the hotel. Our room was intimate with the softest linens on a wind blown night. Even better the next morning with hot coffee in bed.

Spent NYE at Foxfire Mountain House for their inclusive 2-day getaway. Absolutely beautiful experience from the time we walked in the door. Our room was very cozy, the aesthetic is perfectly curated and the food was next level. We were incredibly excited leading up to our trip and left looking forward to our return. Absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking to excape the city for a few days.

Beautiful grounds and hospitable staff. Highly recommended. Staff is super pleasant and helpful. The venue and rooms are designed spectacularly. Beds are comfortable and room are clean. The grounds are really enjoyable in any season. The food was unpretentious, fresh and delicious. We can’t wait to return.
