We booked an afternoon dinner cruise aboard the Lac du Saint Sacrament. There is parking across the street. Parking cost $15.00. It you will receive $5.00 back when you show your parking voucher upon picking up your steamboat tickets. You also receive a coupon for the store.
Dinner was buffet style and very delicious. Salad bar was fresh and the fish selection was tasty. They also serve a tasty dessert.
The views of Lake George are incredible.
Overall it was a fun experience.
We go out for the fireworks display every year and we always have a good time. Great seating and good drinks at the bar. There is live music on the lower level so after the show, you are entertained until the boat pulls back into port. It's about 1-1.5 hr ride.
Every year we visit Lake George we take the 1 hour Minne ha ha boat tour around the lake. Wish they wouldn't print the photos for the souvenir before people decide to purchase them. That's a huge paper and ink waste! They did improve on the picture pick up process by finding people on the boat and processing payments before getting back to shore. Wish the price for photos was lower, $35 for the package seems steep when it was only $17/per person for the boat ride. Especially if they throw the images out for the people who don't buy. The narration is nice to have from the captain. Staff was professional and nice. Gift shop has snacks and reasonably priced souvenirs. They have a bar on board as well. Very safe and clean boat. Bathrooms on board as well. Handicap accessible with an elevator on board. You can even access the engine room via a viewing platform inside, pretty neat to see.
I was on a cruise on the Saint for the dinner buffet. It was a very good time. At the buffet I chose to have the beef. Whichever chef cooked it really committed a sin. It was well beyond well done. Apparently the chef didn’t pay very close attention to what he was doing. Everything else was really good.
My wife and I took a 2 hour cruise aboard the Lac de Saint Sacrament, I know, funny name for a boat, but we had a great time. Lake George gets crowded at the end of the summer and on weekends, but if you can get away for a few days midweek, it's not crowded. The boat goes 10 miles across Lake George, and the staff points out the points of interest along the way. We paid $22 a person. If you want the luncheon, it's more (I'm not sure how much. Very relaxing ride, bring sunscreen, and enjoy the ride!
