Monte Cristos

What a great experience! They have such a lovely staff and the scallop and shrimp linguine casino was amazing. I will be eating these leftovers again tomorrow, it was a huge portion!! Thank you!!

Had breakfast here 2 mornings in a row. Mrs. Betty is the host, server, and breakfast cook. She makes the experience Top Notch. Over easy eggs, potatoes, and Smokin good marble rye toast was great. French toast one morning and pancakes the next for my wife. They were great as well. There was a Jelly that was great. Cant remember what it was called but Mrs. Betty will steer you in the right direction. Sit on the front porch to take in the morning sun and the lake view. Betty, don’t forget to signal when you turn down your road on the ride to work! See you next year.

So great. The pizza made with no-BS Italian flour rocked. We came back to have it for dinner after we had it for lunch. And the bartender (didn't get her name) was killer. Will definitely be back (probably twice in one day) next time we're in town!

On a recent trip to Lake George, I ate breakfast twice at another location, and on my last day decided to try Monte Cristos. I wish all three breakfasts had been there. The restaurant is on the west side of Canada Street, so the deck catches the morning sun, and is a delightful location for breakfast.

At 7:30 on a Thursday morning, one woman was running the entire place, taking orders and cooking. When I asked what kind of bread she had for toast, she said white and marble pumpernickel, with a strong recommendation for the latter. Breakfast was great, and so was the espresso I had after finishing my meal.

While I was eating, a family came by and was trying to decide between Monte Cristos and the bakery/cafe next door. The woman running the place saw them about to pay for parking and said, "Don't worry about it; they don't check until 9:30." When they sat down to order, one of the kids ordered the three pancake and bacon breakfast, and the woman said it was too much food, and recommended splitting it between two. I have never before been to a restaurant where they tried to save customers money.

Delicious!!! My group and I were on our way to the cafe next door while we saw this place was less busy. We took a chance and it was the best ever. I had ordered the Meat Lovers, we all got our food in a decent time (about only one or two people in the kitchen). Great service with great people, food was great for such a low price with great portions! Definitely a find and I fully recommend going there!
