La Piccola Casa

It is a fantastic restaurant. The food is phenomenal.

By far the most amazing Italian food I have had in years. The cream sauce was to die for. The atmosphere is great and the service was fantastic. Parking is tricky and yes, it is a bit pricey but once in a while, it's totally worth it.

Fantastic food, quaint setting. Everything was delicious. Service was outstanding...attentive, but not pushy. The waiter knew all about the food being served and answered all questions.

We opted to sit outside which, between light cycles, could be a bit loud with the traffic, but overall the outdoor seating was nice with the view of the harbor. If you want a quieter, more private date setting, sit inside.

Well... not this time. I was really disappointed. "Tonight specials" the soft shell crab and the stripe bass were mediocre. Definitely not worth the price. Bass was undercooked and had no flavor. Served with garlic broccoli on the side and surrounded by rubbery seafood. Crab was oversalted. I can say more but really what would be the point.
One thing I have to admit, the waiter, the only one person on the floor, was great. He was attentive. Kept our water glasses filled and took care of the restaurant on his own without skipping a beat.

Took my daughter out for a father/daughter dinner and Walter and staff made it a wonderful evening for us. The food mouth watering, I had the lobster in a reduced brandy sauce, my daughter the sea bass special. The staff, real old school, very professional (and they know how to make a proper drink!). Quaint dinning room and warm atmosphere.
