Ruth's Jamaican Hot and Cold Deli

If my rating was based on the customer service, they would have gotten 5 stars. The staff were very welcoming and sweet. I'm pretty sure the lady behind the counter gave me mac and cheese and candied yams for free (unless they're included in the price). The food was oookay. I am of Jamaican decent, and come from a home of exceptional cooks! I ordered oxtail and rice and peas. The oxtail was NOT falling off the bone, which is how I like it, think I would've preferred it if it could've been stewed for a little longer. The rice and peas lacked flavor, other than that the meal was decent and filled me. If I was hungry and in the area again, I would drop by, but order something else, and I say this only because the staff were so nice!

Anytime I'm in White Plains and a need to grab Jamaican food I'm stopping here, and grabbing a beef patty with cocoa bread. Also she makes a great ox tail!

Went to Ruth’s for the first time today and got the ox tail meal and it was awesome!!! The staff was wonderful!!!! Thanks Ruth and Omar for being so nice!!!! I will definitely be back and refer all my friends to your restaurant!!!!

Best place around for some authentic Caribbean/Jamacian flavors. Ruth's jerk chicken is amazing. I come here countless times throughout the year and my family loves it. Great value as well.

authentic and traditional Jamaican cuisine.... everything from traditional ackee and saltfish to curry chicken and cow foot and the soup is to die for..... all good stuff, Ruth totally rocks and she's so down-to-earth....!!!!!
