Puerto Nuevo Mexican & Seafood Restaurant

We’ve been coming here ever since they opened. Never once a bad meal. It’s a busy place, especially on weekend and peak dining hours & holidays. Great for family groups or just couples. Staff is attentive and busy. We usually have more than enough to take some leftovers home.

I have been here many times and it's a great place to eat. I've had different experiences with certain waitresses but today our waitress was absolutely wonderful and her whole attitude and nice personality just made her a great server. And our order didn't come out exactly right and she caught it before we did and took it back and made it right Within just a few minutes. We didn't have to wait long and everything was wonderful. My husband and I were too stuffed to eat it all. We shared the fajita platter and it was phenomenal the shrimp were the size of the palm of my hand almost. Definitely a place I would recommend

Occasionally you come across a Mexican restaurant that has upper tier food. The unusual thing about this restaurant is it also includes a salsa bar. I have never been into a Mexican restaurant with a salsa bar. The table nachos they bring out comes with Bean dip instead of the salsa so you can go choose the salsa you want. The bean dip is unbelievably good though.

Enchiladas Super Rancheras
Five different enchiladas-one beef, one chicken, one beans,
one shredded beef and one cheese.All topped with
cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and rancher sauce

It was Delicious! Although I was nearly full, I decided to try the flan since I m a huge flan fan. I have never had better flan anywhere and I would come here just for the flan and a cup of coffee..It's that good. Most flan is like a custard consistency but this one was almost as thick as cheesecake and it was very substantial and a large portion. Make sure you save room.
When driving along the road, you will almost miss it so I took an outside picture so that you can spot it easily. It looks like a castle turret.

The food was great and i loved that they had a salsa bar, we were able to pick the salsa we wanted and the bean dip they gave us with our chips were great. It's a great place to bring a large family. If you get the fajitas, I'm warning you, you could feed 10 people and we did with just one fajita platter for 2.

Excellent food and excellent service despite the fact that the place is packed to the max and rocking EVERY night. You may have to wait a while especially on weekends. Even with the crowds, you will be served quickly and efficiently by a polite wait staff. Good food - generous portions. It's my place for Mexican in the High Country!!!
