Awesome stop on a lazy summer day! Watched the U.S. Women's World Cup soccer match while eating oysters and sipping a few rounds of Maple Bacon Bourbon shots, served in highball glasses with the single largest ice cubes ever plunked into a drink! Can't wait to go back and do it again!
The steam pot was amazing!! (Only thing I did not care for was crawfish but that is likely just personal preference.) Friendly service. Small place but the service was pretty quick so tables turned over. Wings were also good, as was the scallop appetizer. We would definitely return!
My wife and I came to Moore Street Oyster Bar because it had great reviews and we were not disappointed. Great food and great service, a nice drink selection and, if you don't like oysters, they have something you will like. I definitely recommend trying this place.
We loved Moore Street Oyster Bar!! When we visited on a Saturday (7/6), we were greeted by a very friendly hostess. She politely informed us the wait would be an hour to an hour and 15 minutes. We decided to wait and she put us on the list. I’ve been in the restaurant world for a while and just from watching this hostess, I could tell she was on it; she acknowledged everyone who walked in the door even if she was busy cleaning a table and with a huge smile on her face. So that definitely set the tone for the evening. Eventually some bar seats came open and we grabbed those, so we didn’t even end up having to wait long. The bartender’s name was Ben and he was outstanding. Very prompt service, incredibly knowledgeable about the oysters and menu items, and just really cool to talk to. I was thoroughly impressed with Moore Street Oyster Bar and I’ll be back every time I’m in the area.
Been there twice and not one disappointment. Old styled brick bldg. As it's warm season oysters on menu were from New England and Canada. Salts, fresh with good brine. Chicken wings, lobster, boils and ok burgers. Food was better then expected. Service came promptly with smiles and welcomed advice. Good bar and plan to make this place a staple or go to. About $50.00 per will fill you up and not regret the price... well spent.
