Rocky’s Hot Chicken Shack South

Rocky’s is so good. It’s probably the one thing I miss most about North Carolina. Service is fast, food is cheap and mind blowing. Hot was my favorite, Rocky’s hot has a bit too much seasoning that doesn’t add to the experience in my opinion.

Rocky’s is a must for anyone that likes chicken with some heat. You can order mild here also, but they specialize in spicy. The chicken tenders are huge, the bone-in chicken is on point, the sides are great, and the deserts are awesome. Recommend the coca cola cake if you have a sweet tooth.

I met a work associate there for lunch. Wait time to order was reasonable. I had the Rocky's Way Chicken Sandwich with the HOT sauce and Cole slaw. For me, the heat was just right, I do prefer a spicy taste. On my next visit, I'm going to step-up to the ROCKY'S HOT sauce. It was a great meal, I will be back

This restaurant has become my favorite Fried Chicken in the entire world! I only wish I could find a Rockies closer to home! We ordered the full range of heat. For myself, I ordered the ghost pepper chicken and it was spicy and amazing! The flavor was incredible, the heat was perfect, and they layered on the sauce or paste, not sure what you would call it! But it was delicious! The people were really fun and friendly. The prices were amazing. Our meals were around $10 each. We also ordered the pudding which was delish! The fried pickles were good, but not my favorite in the world. The blue cheese chicken dip, I hope I got that right, was also really good!

I enjoy going to Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack. They have large pieces of delicious, fried chicken as well as other offerings. This visit I had the special of the day which was a hand pie, and it was great! The crust was flaky with a hot, delicious center. If you haven't tried their hand pies or chicken pot pie, try them immediately. Both items are palate pleasers. It was great to find out that they sell metal straws for only $1. They have paper straws for free, but I like the idea of a reusable straw. I will definitely be going back.
