Atlanta Bread Company

Great little lunch spot. Good service, tasty food.

This is to confirm that this place is closed. For several months now there was a sign in the window stating that they are closed for remodeling. Looking through the window, I could never see any sign of remodeling, and the interior was filled with tables and chairs as normal. Yesterday (January 10, 2012) I stopped by again to check and now there is a large sign on the window that says AVAILABLE. The tables and chairs are still there. Also, this location has been removed from the Atlanta Bread website. Who knows what will happen to this building.

I do love Atlanta Bread Company a lot. The atmosphere is perfect for me. I'm a writer, so I need a place that's not too distracting, with music that's not too loud. ABC hits the spot perfectly.

The food is great. Everything I've ever eaten here has been very good. Their bread bowls are to die for, and their bagels are great too. I think they make a lot of their own cream cheeses as well, and they're delicious.

I do wish, however, that they had more choices in coffee. I'm here often—two or three times a week—and I usually end up getting the same thing. I love to branch out and try new coffees, but with only five choices (two of which are decaf and one dark roast, which I hate), there's just not much room for that.

Also, I wish they opened at 6am instead of 7. My brain functions best in the mornings, and I'd love to get to work as early as possible. Until something better comes along, though, this is best coffee house on this side of town.
