The customer service is great. It was one of the few places open really late on a Friday night that served food. The food was a bit bland but the ambiance was decent and they had great tunes pumping. It's definitely a choice if you're looking to down and eat after 11pm in Asheville.
I don't really hold much faith in IHOP anymore, but this one wasn't bad at all. Service was fast and friendly. The food wasn't great, but it was definitely not bad. Nice to know there's still good IHOPs around.
This IHOP was so good that there was a 40 minute wait. One of the employees also got into a fight with a drunk homeless dude who was flashing a knife. It was like dinner theater except it didn't entertain me, it just reminded me of what tunnel Rd. is like.
Honestly, though, best (and as of this review only) IHOP in town. It gets super packed at peak hours, but that's no surprise. The wait staff is as courteous as you'd expect and the food always comes out great.
I went here with a group from the high school after their performance of Shrek the Musical. So there were lots of hungry kids (party of 50), lots of conversations, and lots of tables to be waited on. Everyone I saw was attentive and took our orders in a timely manner. One of the boys at our table said that this was the fastest that he had ever been served after ordering. Besides getting quick and friendly service, the food was great and reasonably priced. Kudos to the staff.
