La tapa lounge

Great spot in Black Mountain, so glad we were sent here when Foothills Grange was closed. Super staff who were knowledgeable and welcoming. The food was perfect. We had beers, the matador (excellent) tapas and burgers. All perfect and quick. Will be here again when I get back to the area.

This place has quite a disparity between what you see from the exterior vs. the La tapa experience. The outside appears a bit grungy and run down. However, the food, service and vibe couldn't be further from the facade. Our food was excellent; staff was attentive, helpful and friendly and the overall atmosphere was Black Mountain cool (I'm sure there is a better term). Really love this place. Very casual.

Probably need to consider taking the word "Tapa" out of the name, more La Lounge. The patatas bravas were undercooked and missing sauce and "Spanish" bread was not grilled. Shrimp sliders and quesadilla were okay; total bar food, not tapas.

Great spot to have a drink and some great food with friends. Large outdoor patio and plenty of indoor seating. Pool table in the back for some extra fun and great options for draft, can, and tasty cocktails. Our group favorites are the avocado and chicken tacos but the chips were also really hitting the spot. Open later for food when there’s no one else and also actually great food is definitely a plus plus in my book! Cheers!!

Food is amazing! I had fried shrimp tacos and potatas bravas and they were both amazing. Great place to grab a beer and some dinner after work.
