Great food paired with an owner (Stephanie) who truly cares. You can tell her soul is invested in the success of her business which translates to caring about every order leaving the kitchen and every guest that sits at a table. I’ve never been here before, and I’ve never met the owner previous to my visit today, but you can feel it instantly.
Being a restaurant owner amidst COVID is an incredibly challenging endeavor. No doubt you have to be tough, roll up your sleeves, trudge forward and present a smile. That’s what I feel here; Stephanie is clearly a tough entrepreneur making the best of a very challenging situation - I would say this is the ingredient of greatness for an entrepreneur - making it happen no matter what!
Great food, great atmosphere and a welcomed sense of normalcy in a crazy time. This place is a diamond in the rough and I consider myself lucky to have stumbled in. To Stephanie and staff: thank you for your efforts! It’s appreciated!
Wonderful breakfast. Great friendly service. Seating indoor or out. Order at the window and then find your table.
Biscuits and Gravy were delicious, and the bourbon street waffle was sweet and satisfying. Lavender lemonade is sweet, not too much of a lavender taste to it. Service was quick and friendly.
Found this restaurant by chance driving through Black Mountain. Great food, great service. Tried their chokes on eggs and my husband had the country omelet we both loved it. The coffee was basic but pretty good as well. Definitely? recommend
***Update*** had brunch with our friends from out of town. The staff was very friendly and took safety precautions with hand sanitizer available for guests and all wait staff wore masks. Our table had a mix of everything from the superb shrimp & grits, to the morning melt, pesto omelette, and even a side of biscuits & gravy. We also partook in mimosas just to top it all off. Let’s be honest in our current day and age with everything going on it’s nice to have the option for an adult beverage to take the edge off now and again. To continue we sat outside on the patio which was dog friendly and very kid friendly as well (with tables placed further apart for safety.) They also had a bunch of different types of baked goods which all look delectable but we didn’t have a chance to nab any this time. In general the place was clean the food was delicious and it came out fast. There was plenty of variety for everyone to choose. Much happier this go around compared to Octobers. Bravo guys well done!!
