Luella's Bar-B-Que - South Asheville

This place was deliciousssss.
We got seated immediately, ordered some beers & wings. Their deviled eggs are a must-order. Chill atmosphere. Happy we stopped in :)

Luella's was on my list of places to try while we were in Asheville! I read on a website that they're generally Celiac friendly. At first when I asked our waiter if they had a gluten free menu, he said there wasn't and they don't have gluten free bread... And nothing else. I tried to figure out the menu on my own. And then when the waiter came back I explained that I needed a little more information than that and sent him to the kitchen with a list of questions to make sure I could eat there safely.

He double checked my meal, the seasoning, the sauce, and the sides. What started out as slightly frustrating turned into a good experience once I explained my need for detailed allergen information.

The turkey breast is absolutely delicious and I would definitely eat there again.

If you're in Asheville and are in the mood for BBQ, look no further than Luella's. This place is amazing! Nice portions that are beyond delicious. Clean and professional. Our server Alia is a doll....do ask for her. Exceptional experience, exceptional BBQ!

Quantity is the only thing keeping them from a 5 star rating. Portions seem to be on the tiny side for both things we ordered. So if you are on a diet this may be the perfect place! Other than that, the taste is absolutely amazing! Staff is also very friendly and checked on us several times throughout our meal. We will definitely be back again on our next trip up from SC!
