SOGO Japanese Seafood Steakhouse

My husband and I decided to spend a few days out of town for our anniversary. We went to SOGO for dinner. Got in quick. Everyone was really friendly. They give you so much food. Prices are reasonable. It was the best Japanese food I have had in a long time. So worth more than 5 stars.

Did enjoy the presentation I would have to agree with a previous customer they do overdo the rice portions though, could reduce it 50% and still have a huge serving for left overs. Had the tenderloin and lobster and enjoyed both, the soup was not the best I've had but okay, should have ordered the salad dressing on the side but a learning experience. Will definitely be back enjoyed the chef.

Quick in and out. Staff nice and attentive! Noodles too salty. Dressing for salad seemed watery. Appetizer shrimp seasoned well. Dinner shrimp was totally different! Seemed to need to cook longer and add flavor. Not my favorite Japanese place but would go back if needed to.

Loved it! Wait time was pretty standard for a Japanese steakhouse. Staff was attentive as well. The best part was the portion size. For the price you pay, you receive enough food to need a take out box. Seriously, good luck cleaning your plate. We travelled more than 20 minutes to get here and we would gladly make that trek again.

Great for families and couples.
P.s. if you prefer ginger sauce over the shrimp sauce, just ask your waiter.

Amazing place and the food backs it up. This Japanese restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat and tonight was no different. Lunch is cheaper than dinner, and the menu is fairly straightforward. The food is cooked on a stove top in front of you by a chef and it never fails to entertain. Overall an amazing place to take your family. 5/5 stars.
