    Good food good service. The bacon was crispy and savory. The atmosphere is definitely a diner type, very quiet, no muzak to break the silence. Definitely get that "locals hangout" cube, as many regulars are greeted by name around you. This can, I guess, be offputting if you are a traveler though it did not bother me. Definitely a step up from fast food breakfast, but could use work on the atmosphere.

    We always stop at Mom's Country Kitchen when going to Blowing Rock and Boone from Charlotte. Great down home breakfast with huge portions, super service, and reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
