The Crab Shack

Wonderful place. Had senior dinners and they were large portions. Excellent food. Our waitress Nancy was very nice and attentive. Can't wait to go back.

Nice place a bit hidden off the road. Food was excellent. Had the crab casserole lunch special with green beans. Casserole was great (crab and cheese mostly, how could that go wrong?) and the green beans were some of the best I can recall having. Hush puppies were great. Seating is a bit tight and beer selection limited. Most bizarre is the menu. There are zero descriptions of the food. So you end up wonder things like, “what are the jalapeño poppers stuffed with?” Service was good although she didn’t seem very happy to be there! Nice view of the sound. Recommended.

Flounder fillet lunch special with two sides and tea - best flounder I had on this trip, generous portion, cooked perfectly. Quick friendly service. Will definitely be back. Entire meal with drink was $11.99. Great deal!

The variety of food options helped to satisfy each member of our family. I chose seafood and give an excellent rating for the fried trout and fried flounder. The waiting on a Sunday evening wasn't so bad and we'll worth it considering the good service and quality food we enjoyed. Beautiful shoreline scenery enhances dining experience.

Parking can be a problem during weekends and holidays. There will probably be a bit of a wait during those times as well

All that aside, the service and food is pretty good. It is a no nonsense seafood place. Dont expect linen napkins or square plates. They serve up classic seafood cooked several different ways.

We will definitely return to the crab shack!
