Boxcar Grille

Just an average meal! We were seated quickly and service was okay other than having to ask several times for refills. Salad bar is good but the steak was greasy. For an average of $20 a person you don’t want a greasy steak.

Boxcar is a staple in our family! Many birthdays and special occasions shared here! Excellent southern comfort food for a very fair price. The atmosphere is so welcoming and the staff is beyond great and friendly! If you like salad bars, this place has a great one! Always fresh and clean, not a huge selection on the bar but what they do have is fantastic! I do recommend going early for dinner as there will be a wait! Easy to get to from the interstate! They also do wonderful catering if you want the same great food at your event or occasion! I've tried them and they have done an excellent job!

Great selection of food that has always been great. Good service and nice atmosphere. One of the best salad bars around! You won't go wrong stopping in here for a bite to eat.

We had the 'Tuesday Special' of Siroin Tips with sides. As we ordered, bread was brought to us. The loaves were warm, not hot, and the bottom part of the bread was a little harder like it had been sitting in a warmer. Maybe, because the place was not very busy at the time we went. Our food arrived and the tips were a little firm, so not tender. We ordered medium but it seemed to be well done. Only one large piece had a little pink as we would think medium would be. The vegetables, green beans and boiled potatoes were delicious. We would return and ask for fresh baked rolls and Rare Tips.

My husband, my sister and I had just spent an entire weekend from hell - moving, including rain, a very slippery ramp and 4+ in. of mud! We were beyond tired, we were tired, in pain and muddy! And very hungry. We arrived about an hour or less before closing and your people did not hesitate! And they were incredibly kind! I have severe arthritis, and after a very difficult 72 hrs, I could barely walk. But the staff was very understanding, even offering an arm, for support (as I can't find my cane, yet) And the food was really good! The prices were reasonable for the serving size, quality and the selection that they have! Will definitely go there again when we're not so tired and dirty!!!
