Rock barn sets the standard for public golf courses. The place is absolutely gorgeous. From the drive up to the clubhouse, to the facilities, to the complimentary range balls and the condition/layout of the course. Even the restaurant attached to the club house is top notch. The staff is fantastic and won’t let you lift a finger if you don’t want to. There’s not a better public course to play within 50-75 miles of rock barn. Do yourself a favor and make this a regular visit for your golf outings. You won’t be disappointed.
My time at Rock Barn Spa l was divine. I visited here last week and realized I didn’t leave my review on their actual page !
Once we arrived to check in we were greeted with a glass of Champagne.
I had the Queen for the day package which included , Salt Cave access, 90 minute massage, dry & wet Sauna, pool & jacuzzi access. Along with lunch & chocolate covered strawberries.
We first started off with the salt lamp cave for 45 minutes which was very calming we fell asleep for most of the time being inside of it . After that we hung out in the Jacuzzi & pool until it was almost time for our massages.
I would say I enjoyed my massage but the specialist I had Larissa was very cocky and didn't listen to a word I said when I told her she could use pressure. Her reply was I'm 52 years old and I have been doing this for a very long time, I try to give customers a massage the way I would like it done. To me it was just her way of being lazy she barely used any pressure at all it was almost as it she just gently rubbed her fingers n hands over my body. Every individual prefers different pressure points for their massage so I really did not appreciate that so that's why I took one star away from this review . Other than that our experience here was amazing.
I then went on to enjoy some time in the dry sauna & steam room. The bathrooms has size able lockers & complimentary toiletries. The deck off One side of the pool overlooks the tennis courts,& the other has an outdoor fireplace.
When it was all said & done I also took advantage of the pedi & nail services here as well. I absolutely loved my nail tech there she was very accommodating and we had great conversation. She is the head nail tech there I don't recall her name but she is the best.
Walked in for massage and day pass for facilities. Upon starting the check in process we were handed champagne as we worked on paperwork. We then we're giving a tour and started our day. Great staff, clean, great services. Food and drinks were great. Lots of available things to do. Pool, waterfall pool, hot tub, cold plunge, steam to, sauna, showers, personal lockers. Great experience!
Hosted a rehearsal dinner here. Penny the coordinator was great! She made sure we had everything we needed and was very communicative. The entire staff showed exceptional hospitality as well. We really enjoyed a wonderful evening.
Recently revisited Rock Barn! The experience was ten times better than the previous one. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The massage was lovely and the tech was very nice. The normal plush massage table was in the process of being replaced so I was on a regular massage table which decreased the experience just a hair. Over all the experience was a 10/10!
Lunch service and lunch was prompt and pleasant. Our meal was very healthy and delivered timely.
Cons:
I was a little disappointed to see they have not upgraded the salt cave chairs to something more fitting for this type of luxury spa. The outside lawn chairs are not my idea of luxury or safety. The salt cave floor is slippery…the bottom of a lawn chair is designed for outside seating. So I wasn’t able to relax and recline back like I would have liked too.
Nonetheless I definitely recommend a visit! Be sure to make reservations ahead of time. I would suggest a month maybe two. They do stay pretty booked.
