Red Bridges Barbecue Lodge

Anytime that I am passing through to Charlotte, I have to stop here. Everything about the meal, waitstaff, and atmosphere is perfect. Plus, the fries are the best I've ever had.

Me and 4 other guys were going to eat somewhere else, but it was closed on Saturdays, which is strange. It turned it to be a good thing because this BBQ place was great! I ate the jumbo BBQ plate with sliced pork, potato salad, fries, and beans. The pork was so tender and had good flavor. It came with their signature BBQ sauce on it but I like mine pretty saucy so asked for extra. All of the sides were also good so I ate the whole thing. I didn't get the slaw but others said it was good. The hush puppies were pretty huge at about hotdog size and were some of the best I've had anywhere. I heard that the place has been around for a long time and the inside of the place has an old time feel to it which is good for a BBQ joint. I recommend you give this place a try.

Great county style BBQ. We stuck with the traditional chopped pork and had red coleslaw and hush puppies. The meat was great with a small amount of vinegar sauce. All the sides were awesome

When I first sat down I thought "good god why did we come here?!" And then, our waitress came. My anxiety settled. She was wonderful. She helped us with all of our questions about the menu. We waited about 15 minutes for the food and OMG it was amazing!!! Hush puppies were huge! Potato salad was delicious! And I got banana pudding ???? ugh, so good! My 7 month old was loving that bbq too! 10/10 recommend and I can't wait to come back!

Excellent food and good service. Got there early when they opened started getting crowed while we were there. Hush puppies were really good, I got chopped pork it was really good and portions were great. Slaw was okay, I like red slaw but it was a little tart. Well worth the visit. I would recommend it. Visited again EXCELLENT!!
