A very busy place, but got a table after a 40 minute wait. The mini croissants they bring out are delicious. Our server was great, and had a good sense of humor. I had the salmon and baked sweet potato that was awesome, and my husband had the meatloaf, which came out lukewarm so he asked to have it warmed up, which is why the 4 stars instead of 5. He did like it after that! Highly recommend Morgan's!
The service was good but the food was underwhelming. We ordered the “chili” and chips, which didn’t seem to have an actual chili, the Cuban sandwich, and ribs. The ribs were breaded, fried, and covered in a sweet sauce. The croissants default to being covered in a sweet sauce as well, but if you ask for some plain ones they’ll bring them out for you. However, they’re pretty old and dry, so we didn’t eat them.
The honey buttered rolls are amazing!!! The atmosphere has an excellent mixture of old English town sea side design, with vibrant, relaxed colors.. excellent place to have
Relaxing conversation. The menu has lots of choices with daily specials. The food is good with excellent prices. No matter the occasion, Morgan's is an excellent choice.
If you are looking for a nice place to sit down, take your time and enjoy your food, this is it. Don't be put off by the price, you get what you paid for. The food was excellent and the portions are good. Waiters and waitresses are very attentive. Had a black and blue burger and it had a generous amount of REAL blue cheese. The fried portobello mushroom side was wonderful.
Atmosphere is great. Service good. We've ate here in the past over the years, but only for dinner and always ordering their steaks. That's what kept us making New Bern our pit stop traveling back home. We love the honeyed croissants---nice touch from the typical bread put out by most restaurants. So, this time we decided to try lunch and order something different. I had the tuna lettuce wraps. It was a bit mushy and not well seasoned. My hubby had the steak burger sans the onions, took one bite and didn't like it. He said it had a strange taste. They were quite accommodating and replaced it with their original burger. It was tasty but a bit hard. We'll go back but never for lunch just dinner. We'll update pending next dinner visit.
