We really had a great time. One of the best parts of out vacation. Food was great and a wonderful family atmosphere.

After a long hot tour of Tryon Palace right up the road, my family and I decided that we wanted to eat somewhere other than the typical fast food drive-through experience. After Yelping different locations in New Bern, I decided to have some seafood at The Stingray Cafe. Upon walking in, the dimly lit environment and wooden decor was a welcomed change from the bright, hot outdoors. We were seated immediately by a very friendly and courteous greeter. After we were seated, our waiter (who was from Florida) welcomed us and answered all of our questions about the menu thoroughly and professionally with a smile on his face! After getting our drinks he presented us with the best tasting hush puppies that I have ever had in my life! A little while later, our food arrived. I had the 1 pound of North Carolina shrimp with seasoned fries and potato salad. I have to tell you, I was very disappointed when I finished my food, because I didn't want it to end! It was THAT good! We live an hour away from this place, and I am planning on making this restaurant a monthly visit! If you plan on eating anywhere else in New Bern, you're silly. Go to this place instead!

The food at the Sting Ray Cafe is delicious. I've never walked away and felt unsatisfied. I think they have some of the best hush puppies I've ever had. Their fish is fresh from the market connected to them next door. If you're looking for a new place to try I recommend giving this spot a try. I'm sure you'll find something on the menu youll enjoy.

I love this place. I had crab cakes which were very good. My husband had a salad and soft shell crab with a side of fried shrimp. He said that it was wonderful. Clean and sanitary. Great waitress.
