You can't beat the friendliness of this place. except for maybe the food. I have not had a bad entree or side dish there. And the Iced teas? Well if you get a to go order (I highly recommend the catfish plate) you'll get your share of iced tea and you will probably need a few refills. It is pretty obvious they brew their stuff and it is not from mix. tasted like bags. The collared greens are unusually good.
Good old fashioned Grandma's cooking. Chitterlings, Stewed Okra, Dry Sausage, Fats Back, Pig Feet, and of course Barbecue and more. You will not be disappointed. Come with an appetite to do this place justice (All You Can Eat).
I started visiting this one when the one in lumberton closed. It was worth the ride. I enjoy this one as well. The sweet tea and lemonade are always good and the bar stays fresh and restocked. Sunday’s can get pretty busy and run low on sweet potato pie but it’s a must try if you like sweet potatoes. You can also order to go or get large portions for parties or dinner.
One of the best southern buffets I've been to in a while. The selection is great and the price is outstandingly low. $8 for the lunch buffet. I'd be 30 pounds heavier if I lived nearby. I ate livers, gizzards, fried chicken, collards, rutabagas, green beans, cabbage, Mac n' cheese, okra, cake, and a few other items. It was all delicious. I wish I knew about it sooner. Can't wait to come back.
