“I have been back 4 times since my first visit. The chicken tacos were very favorable. They give 2 tortillas per taco, but they are a little smaller than regular sized street tortillas. On the other hand, the chicken burritos are awesome. This is what I go back for each time.”

“I ended up leaving. I review this restaurant as 5 stars because I knew they had just opened today so I wasn’t expecting anything fancy. I had the waitress I can’t remember her name but she had glasses and curly hair that’s all I can really remember of her but she was very sweet and talkative and I could tell that she was getting a bit frustrated that she couldn’t get our food out to us. I feel bad for the girls that work here they deserve way better than this place. So I only put 5 stars for the staff...??♀️”

“After hearing amazing things about Uptown’s Chicken and Waffles, I decided to give them a try. I broke this review down into specific categories. Food: I had “The Skinny” which was tender and full of flavor. The Mac and Cheese was WONDERFUL! I highly recommend it. The collards were not my favorite at all. They were bitter and somewhat greasy tasting. My mother had “Moore Fried Chicken”. It was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It was seasoned perfectly! She had the same sides as I did and agreed with me that the Mac and cheese was the best! Atmosphere: Warm, inviting, and cozy! I believe they are taking social distancing seriously and I appreciate the extra effort. Service: This was the one area that I felt needs improvement. Our waitress was also the bartender so she had to try to balance several tables plus any bar guests. She did great trying to help, but it’s obviously too much for any one person. There were 3 other staff members working at the front; hostess, cashier for to go, and no clue the other young lady’s position. I felt they could have helped with tables in those hectic moments. It took our waitress 25 minutes to get our payment because several customers came to the bar. All the while the 3 up front were dancing, on the phone, talking, etc. The man that I believe was a manager was seated near the pool table on a laptop with headphones on. He didn’t seem attentive and I think the other 3 staff members could have been used more appropriately if he would have been focused on the guests that were seated. Overall, the food is worth a trip! I think the crew position plan should be revised to accommodate guests and help the staff not be so overworked.”

“First time visiting this place, and after our experience there, we were so sad we hadn't found them sooner! Beautiful atmosphere - quiet and charming. Incredibly hospitable staff and the owner stopped and talked with every patron. So many grand desserts to choose from that the choice was not easy but we more than enjoyed the selection we made. Better yet, they even carry my favorite wine! Highly recommend and will certainly be back.”
