Mai is a fantastic owner! She goes above and beyond in making the atmosphere of her restaurant feel like a home away from home. When she cooks, she cooks with heart! So far I have tried their lunch, dinner, and their Friday lunch buffet. My favorite dish so far is the basil chicken. It comes with a fried egg that compliments the Thai basil quite well. The dish is fragrant and healthy, a great dish that is comforting and spice levels on this and any of their meals can be adjusted to your liking. I recommend stopping by and giving them a chance. I live out of town and will go at least once a week.
The staff immediately made us feel welcomed. They were cheerful and very friendly. The food was incredible. Fresh, delicious and crazy flavorful. If you’re in the mood for Thai this is the place. Clean, relaxing, and enjoyable.
The food was delicious. Owner was super friendly. Must go back or get delivery to try other foods on the menu.
The food was very tasty, restaurant was very clean. The owner is all about hospitality and really makes sure you are enjoying your experience. I underestimated how spicy level 2 out of 5 (5 being the most spicy) since I don’t eat spicy food often, so she gave me some watermelon to snack on and that worked. I would recommend the mild if you are like me. I was curious about what 5 tasted like and she offered a sample. It was a very special and interactive experience! We also got ice cream with rice and I recommend that as as well. The rice and ice cream go well together.
The food is absolutely delicious! We were totally surprised, especially after dining very recently in a rather upscale (and pricey) Thai restaurant in Charlotte - we can say with confidence that the Mai’s Kitchen beats that other place by a long shot. This was an outstanding example of authentic cuisine at a very affordable price. And if you happen to eat here, make sure you get sticky rice with mango for dessert - it is out of this world! Highly recommended place with super-kind people and homy atmosphere.
