Whenever I'm driving by at meal time or an hour earlier than meal time or if I have to wait an hour for mealtime to drive by Southland, this is where, I'm eating! And yes, if you truly want the NC BBQ experience, put the slaw on the pork sandwich! Ugh, I'm hungry and 6 hours away!

(May 30, 2019, 12:39 am)I have been coming to this store for almost four decades! We always stopped by in our way to and from Corolla. Now I live 7 miles away from Southland. They have everything, snacks, souvenirs, gifts, fireworks, BEST BARBECUE, delicious ice cream and SO MUCH MORE!!

I loved it! The people are so friendly and welcoming. They were very patient with my friend and extremely helpful.
I will definitely be back!

(February 14, 2019, 2:58 am)They have A LOT TO OFFER. Great home style cooking! NC barbecue! Country style breakfast. Lots of cool gifts. Handmade art and decor. Handmade jewelry. They are right across the border from VA. Cheaper on somethings. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I will go out of my way to go there again. The ride there was nice and scenic and very little traffic even tho I headed that way at rush hour! ????????
