Wife and I stopped for dinner. The fish and chips special , was super fresh and delicious. Wife had the equally delicious pulled pork. Our waiter was top notch . Fully recommend stopping in for dinner.
Great beach lunch, had the Alabama getaway and 10/10 recommend! Great service from Savannah on top of the great food. They have a guy that’s 6’5 serving too, pretty cool. I’m 6’4 and he’s taller than me and it made me nervous in front of my gf but I won’t take off a star for that. Great food.
My husband & I discovered this great restaurant in May 2020 in the heart of the pandemic & have returned annually since then with our most recent visit on May 27, 2022. We actually came here 3 times during our week at the beach! The food is excellent, pizzas are brick oven baked which I LOVE! The crab margarita pizza is my favorite. Last night I had the tuna tacos which were top notch, cooked exactly as ordered. Two tacos are in a serving & they were full of tuna!
They have draft beer with a large selection of local beers. Servers & bartenders are personable. We make this a must stop place every year—highly recommend!
Great service, friendly and efficient. Food was awesome! We had an assortment of food. The crab cake sandwich was superb, mostly crab and very little “cake.” The pork rinds were fresh and tasty! The trash can nachos were awesome. Big portions and everyone left full. Definitely a come back place!
We were really looking forward to eating some amazing local seafood here. The Tavern sits adjacent to Frisco Woods Campground and the walk was easy and fun for a family stroll to dinner.
However, our food was average quality and flavor was lacking pizzazz. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi. The sauce was watery and lacking garlic. The shrimp were medium and tough - overcooked I think. The side of butternut squash and brussel sprouts were mushy and lacking in flavor. Our grandson ordered a pizza. While generous in size and easily shared by two, it was overcooked as well, and the crust was burnt on the bottom.
My husband had the fried shrimp dinner, but felt the flavor of the shrimp compared to that of any other diner.
It's early in the season, and so maybe there's a few kinks to be worked out here.
