Atmosphere was great. Had over an hour wait on 9/26/2019 for order to come with no explanation as to what was going even when food came out. Was told that they had to stop preparation of food while state health inspector was there. Looked at NC health regs on line that night. Could not find anything listed about that regulation. There were others who got their food in the time we were waiting.
A friend told me about this place and I am glad I stopped by to try it out! The Sammy Burger was delicious! The men's bathroom is a site to see! Great atmosphere! Coke everywhere. Friendly staff and great parking. Five stars had a wonderful time there.
Waitress was SO nice. I wish I remembered her name but honestly all the staff was great. Food was delicious and they even offer beyond burgers for a small upcharge. They have adult soda floats which were delicious. Service was fast. All around great and fun place with that traditional soda shop vibe.
Excellent and delicious food! On my list for must comeback to even more than the fine dining restaurants we have been to!
The Tatar tots with bacon, shredded cheese, and ranch dip was beyond awesome. I normally don't order things like that even. Big enough to share with 3 or 4 people or just enjoy yourself as a meal.
Fish and chips was with wild caught cod. Fries are long and soft. Onion rings were a gentle crunch and not greasy. Tuna fish was locally sourced. Root beer floats were good. Hamburgers were good.
Prices were mostly in the $10 - $15 range.
Comfortable, fun, 50's decor with a lot of Coke product items and model miniature antique cars.
Service was good, and we did not run out of drink - nice big cups!
Atmosphere was nice. Staff was friendly tho not terribly attentive but acceptable. Husband and I hot 2 classic burgers with fries with one and onion rings with the other, and grandson got a burger with crab cake on it and fries as well as a soft drink for hubs and a milkshake for the boy. $42 and change plus $8 tip that we left. The milkshake looked beautiful, very retro in the tapered glass with piles of whipped cream and a cherry on top, but it was rather thin, and nothing special. The onion rings were thick cut, very tasty and fries were good tho neither was terribly hot when we got them. The burgers would've been much better if they had been cooked a couple minutes less as they were quite overcooked and very dry. No juiciness whatsoever. All and all it was a cool place to go but would I return and pay another $50 for this quality of food? No, no i wouldn't.
