Ortega'z Southwestern Grill and Wine Bar

My wife and I recently visited Ortega'z on a short visit to Manteo and were really pleased with the service and the food. The one thing we immediately noticed was how many employees the restaurant had and they all seemed to be really hopping to serve their customers. Needless to say our service was outstanding that night. They had a nice selection of beers, wines and mixed drinks. I really enjoyed my IPA and my wife had a great tart margarita. We just had a snack that evening, street tacos, which had an authentic appearance with a notable influence from the local chefs. They were great. All in all a highly recommended restaurant in Manteo.

Have not been here in a year, the menu has changed a bit, but the server Brent was great, the food was great, I being on a limited diet, had the vegetarian fajitas, delicious... and no onions as I requested, ( thank you ) the guacamole was fresh, the Cobb salad with tuna looked tasty and was completely eaten. It was busy on a Friday night during peak season, but we were set quickly and food came just as quick. I'm glad to say the food is just as good as I remembered from past years. We will be back and when its cooler out, want to enjoy the outside sitting area... ( which by the way, you with pets, can eat dinner and have your dog with you for you pet owners) a nice perk not offered anywhere else I can think of.. customer service again, and for the new server.. Brent was top notched. I'd definitely recommend eating and relaxing with a nice dinner that is also priced affordably for you with families.

Food is very good, they changed their menus and eliminated some good stuff. Still worth stopping in for the fish tacos they are great. The service was really great also.

The service and food were amazing. CAUTION: if you sit outside watch the sides of the tables.

A little pricey but worth it!

We have always Loved in the past, but a little disappointing today.
We rave about their homemade crispy tortilla chips, but today they were quite soggy and not crisp. Since we are paying for them, I expect crispy & yummy as always. We told our server and asked for new chips. When she brought us new ones, she said the new ones were made this morning! I had just said I bet the others were leftover from the night before! ???? Also, the prices have increased and it was a much limited menu than before, too.
