Capital Seafood Market

First time there. Came in from Virginia due to where we were there were no open seafood markets. Nice establishment will definitely come back again. Possible to stay in the area a few days.

Curiosity once again had me seeking out a local seafood restaurant to purchase fresh flounder and whiting for lunch. You can pick out your selection of fish and they will prep, and cook. Unfortunately, they only offer specials until 3pm ! The regular menu items were priced between $7.99 and higher with only one piece of flounder or two pieces of whiting, hush puppies, two sides, and no beverages! The portions were small and there was only one person taking orders. I will probably never go back there, again.

The fish is so fresh! I've bought fish (mostly whole red snapper), fresh NC shrimp, live blue crabs and frog legs from here and I was pleased with every purchase. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

The food was so good!!! I have been looking all over Durham to find a good seafood place. I’ve finally found it. The cashier was so nice tonight. I’ll be back for sure. Thanks!!! Keep it the good work!!!

This place is right around the corner from my office. So I am happy it’s so close. I’ve only ordered lunch to go from here. I would like to try some of the fresh fish and blue crabs they have. So maybe I will do that but I live in Raleigh and this shop is in Durham.
The customer service each time has been awesome. I’ve called twice and placed an order over the phone and the staff is very polite.
This will be a spot I continue to come to to grab lunch.
