This is not a typical place you go to get egg rolls and fried rice ( not that they're not good). If you come empty stomach, you want to fill it up with their specialty- dim sum. This is the best place for dim sum in RTP area. The restaurant has been around for decades and dim sum is authentic and flavorful. Spare ribs is steamed with black beans that you can still see and taste. Steamed Shrimp dumplings and turnip cakes are my point of reference for dim sum. They certainly know what they're doing.im definitely grateful to have a little piece of Hong Kong in Durham!
O don't know if this is the same hong kong restaurant that used to be on Avondale dr and foushee st...but if it is so then it would deserve 4 stars...
Went for dim sum over the weekend. Pretty much everything was good. I especially liked the sauteed bok choy and shrimp dumplings. Don't forget to try their iced soy milk that they make in house. It was mild and lightly sweet, and a good accompaniment to the rest of the table. Get the sesame balls as a dessert, that is if you have room left! There is ample parking too.
The best dim sum place in the triangle area. This place is packed on weekends. People lined up before 11 a.m. for a table. They have a great variety of dishes including congee. The chicken feet is my favorite. Try to go there on weekdays to avoid long lines.
