Just stopped in for a beverage and the service was wonderful, great conversation with Kevin. Gave us some great tips on the area. The menu looks fabulous and I can’t wait to come back again. Yummy fried eggs, who would’ve thought a Friday could get any better! So creamy, crunchy and a beautiful presentation!
Get the bottomless mimosas! Worth it. That bacon was delicious. Pretty good service. Bill was a nice manager and my server was a nice guy. I plan to return when I come back to Durham.
Amazing southern style food. Hush puppies with jalapenos were dangerously good. Shrimp and grits perfect. Cocktail somewhat underwhelming. Cream on desserts branded chantilly but dubiously so. Great bourbon selection. Fabulous decor and service.
Went on a Friday night and had a great experience! The food was delicious and the service was excellent too. There are fairy large portions so you can easily share with a big group. The cocktails are good too! It does get busy so I recommend making a reservation in advance.
Chic decor and a great bar decor, clearly spent time and effort to design the space. Open kitchen adds to the wow factor. Food, unfortunately was really mediocre, and I'm eating it after reviewing some of the positive reviews just in case my experience was an outlier. Waitress uttered robotic lines of cordiality, visibly far from being meaningful. Must had rolled off the bed from the wrong side. Seafood stew was one of the most expensive dish and was exceptionally salty, to make it tasty I guess. Kids burgers were square meat lumps between buns. My wife's Po Boy was the best and gets an average score. I yearn for good southern food where the stew, grits, Po Boys fills your heart. It didn't for a $70+ dinner bill.
