“The service was excellent! Trying to exit to the left is hard due to traffic. But that's just a warning not anything bad on the establishment's part.”

“I will drive out of my way to go to Church's. The chicken is always super fresh. The service is fast here. The dining room was clean, and you get a lot of food for your coin. This last cation is a bit easier to get into and out than the one in Raleigh. The parking lot over there is crazy.”

“Great place for Lunch as the prices are competitive. Coconut cake is a step above divine (see creamy rich). There are more authentic options for Thai food in Durham but this is the best Thai lunch or family dinner option. The Thai basil stir fry plates are a personal favorite. Try the spicy chicken salad if you enjoy a little kick in the mouth-see delicious chilies. Atmosphere is warm and especially nice during the evening hours.”

“The food here is absolutely delicious. It is like eating your great-grandmother's food. Food that touches your soul. There's nothing in this restaurant that I have ever tasted that was not excellent from the Breakfast down to the deserts the lunch everything. It is definitely a place that you should try out. I am new to North Carolina but this is the best food that I have tasted here by far!!”

“This place has the best home cooked meals in Durham. I really mean it, the food is prepared and cooked with true southern love! Love the oxtails, smothered pork chops, and the collards are the best. They also have great desserts, best cakes and pies in Durham county. The staff are so friendly and after one visit the know you by name and treat you like one of the family!! Truly a great place to have a home cooked meal during the week and the breakfast will make you drive clear across town!!! Love this place!!!”

“Super friendly. Outstanding food. This was our time and we got there at the end of the day and they were out of the fried chicken and we tried the turkey wings and they were delicious!”

“Rented out the room for a private event. Staff was really nice. Manager was freaking out a bit because she thought we were stealing drinks (which was 100% false). When renting a room they provided wrist bands for drinks for the self pouring station. The bands kept hitting the “cap” and having to go to the bar to “unlock” them when we had 1 or 2 beers. Kinda annoying but overall good experience.”

“I had a blast, I was the only white person here that night and was greeted with open arms. The bartenders were amazing and even carried my drinks outside for me. The jerk chicken was so moist and flavorful I had to share it so others could say wow! You could see the cooks in the back smiling so you knew it would be great. The open mic is entertaining and the crowd is extremely friendly. The bathroom was horrible though because someone threw up everywhere.”

“I am a big fan of this place. And especially since we are talking NY style bagels! Every location of this bagel store I have been in has always been a great experience. Locations are great, great atmosphere, fresh food and bagels and also friendly staff! Plus you can’t beat the huge selection of bagels they have. And on Mondays, you definitely don’t want to miss out...13 bagels for $8! Freaking awesome! This is a must visit if you’ve never been!!”

“Great coffee in a converted auto shop. On nice days they open the large bay doors and the entire place feels like an outdoor venue. Their coffee is delicious and like all their locations they have talented baristas. It's a great place to swing by for coffee on the way to school or work.”

“The food was good, but I only wish if they had more vegetarian options. I thought it would serve some very good milkshakes but even that was kind of okay. The quantity was good enough but I didn’t find any other veg options. So not a good option if you are a vegetarian.”

“I loved everything about my food. You have to understand that my rating has nothing to do with these sandwiches. The chicken was juicy and the sauce was amazing. They had cocktail sauce for the fries, which gave me all the life I needed at that moment. The reason I’m giving this place three stars is for the experience. My first visit, I need a minute to gather my thoughts on the menu, and put together an idea of a good first experience. The cashier/waitress rushed me and gave me these looks like it was my first day out. There were a lot of sighs as I struggled to find the sides (printed very small in a corner of the menu). I just don’t like when a service person acts like they can’t be bothered to deal with a customer. That is truly your job: customer service. If it’s beneath you, best of luck in whatever you find, but let someone who can do it do it.”

“With its location in the DUSON building, your only choice of cafe is essential this one only. They provide good quality of food from breakfast to dinner.”

“We have long been fans of Watts Grocery but we’re pretty disappointed with this recent visit. This place really needs to be more kid friendly. There are always lots of families. While the host was helpful in getting us a table to best accommodate our infant car seat it was really frustrating not to find any changing table in either of the bathrooms. There is plenty of room and there is not really any reason not to have this cheap addition. The blood orange mimosas were great, pancakes, Green Fried Tomato BLT, and Eggs Benedict were spectacular. The sausage was...very disappointing. It was dried out and looked like it was just microwaved from a premade Jimmy Dean frozen package. It is not that hard to make good sausage and they failed. I would go back but they are slipping on my list of places especially since we will have kids in diapers for the next few years.”

“You never go wrong with old school Wimpy's grill in Durham. The biscuits in the morning are big! The fatback is cooked like it should be. They have a variety for one if the oldest grills in Durham. Hamburgers in the morning if you dare!”

“Oh my goodness I love this place, The competitor's have nothing on Italian Pizzeria. The pizza is the best anywhere. I would pass a dozen dominos, Papa John's and Pizza Huts to get to buy and eat from this place. Love the prices, Quality and cleanliness of this store. Only pizza place for me ever.”

“Last week my husband unexpectedly had major surgery, and I called to order takeout/delivery from this Panera location. I had to interrupt the man taking my order a couple of times as a nurse kept interrupting me, but he was so incredibly understanding. He wished me well, and even slipped in a couple of gluten free cookies. The delivery guy was super kind as well, and he also gave his best wishes to our family. The soup was good, but it didn't compare to these two guys going out of their way to make my day a bit better, despite everything. I wish I remembered these two guys' names so I could thank them personally.”
