J. Pepper's Southern Grille

First time at this location. I think I ate at another one time. The service was good. The tea was real good...alot of place the tea is horrid so tea now is important. The menu had several items I wanted. I tried the meatloaf..it was good on taste and the way it was prepared was good. Ibwould have liked peppers and onion in mine...but that is me. Mashed potatoes were really good for these. Mac and cheese was good. After I finished I thought about salt and pepper. I think it was good with salt...but it might have enhanced it some. Some fresh cracked pepper would have really set everything off. Overall it was real good. I tried a blood orange margarita and it was good I need just a little more octane. 1if you haven't been I don't think it will disappoint you...

My favorite place to eat! Charming atmosphere & people. It’s like fine dining & southern food & a great bar & patio... the food is fantastic. I don’t order “the specials” at many places but here, I do more times that not. Seems like they are always interesting & tasty. Never once been disappointed! Often times the owner is there, floating around checking on everything from guests to food to employees. & not because he needs to, his son is always buzzing around happy & helpful! Did I mention the food & drinks? Cause they are sooo good!

Beautiful day to sit on the patio! Service was great! We had a really fun waitress. Food was as ordered and good.

GREAT FOOD! This was my third visit and each time the meal was great. Why only three stars you ask? Service. Our waitress was very poor. She acted very upset when we weren’t ready to order when she brought the drinks. Asked for no tomatoes on my salad. Yep, I got them. Our drinks were empty twice. When she did stop at our table, once after bringing our meal, she tried taking our plates before we were done. If an old bitter woman is the best waitress out there to hire, it’s time to do a better job in recruiting.
