Umi Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Lounge

I've been wanting to try this place since they opened. Well they did not disappoint. I ordered the hibachi vegetables and seaweed salad, it was amazing and the miso soup was spot on. Ginger dressing and dipping sauce were a great compliment to my dishes. The service was great and attentive. Definitely worth going to again.

I visited this restaurant during a weekday at opening for dinner service after shopping at the nearby stores. I ordered a sushi dinner for 2 and was not disappointed. This modernly designed restaurant was beautiful and comfortable. Service was exceptionally friendly and the quality of food was excellent. I sat at a booth but noted the communal grill top with seating and a large sushi bar. I will certainly be back with family and friends to try other menu items and different dining experiences. I recommend giving this a go!

I had the hibachi and it was good. They call themselves a steakhouse, but can't comment on the steak because I got the chicken. Overall a pretty good place nice ambiance good drinks

Me and My mom came to eat here at 9:30, they close at 10:30. It was just me n my mom at one booth and people at the other table where they cook your food in front of you. Also there was about 5 or 6 people at the bar. There was someone at the bar taking care of them. So, we should have had great service. She didn't come that much and about 10:25 I asked for more sweet tea, she didnt bring it. Then when she brought the bill it was 10:32 I asked again if I could have some more tea and also my mom wanted unsweetened tea. She said we already poured out the tea. She should have brought us more refills into go cups or asked if we wanted some more before they poured it out. She kept rushing us out the door. Other then that the food was good.

I read the reviews before choosing this place as my late birthday dinner and most of them were good. But I was not impressed. The cook was not on his game didn't do anything special or wasn't even talkative. The food its self was also dry. My noodles semi dry the rice was sticky. The whole meal was lacking something. I am from out west and it seems the food out there is better and has more flavor and seasoning. And that's any type of food.
