The food here is very good. I have been here on three different occasions and every time the food has been amazing. Portions are larger than average and prices are a great value for as much food as you get. It does take a while for the food to be prepared once you order, so don’t go here if you are in a hurry, but if you have the time, it is really worth it.
Dined here twice in the same week. I was in town on business staying locally. Dinner on our first visit was so good, we just had to come back for more before heading home. Menu, service and quality were top notch. Restaurant was cozy, a bit noisy, but the atmosphere was lively. From apps to coffee and dessert, you won't be disappointed.
Drove over from Greensboro. My 4th visit here at this restaurant. Came for a birthday celebration.
Always exceptional food and service. Bread was warm and tasted very good. We both enjoyed our salads. She had the house salad. I ordered the ceasar salad. Our pasta dishes came out hot and fresh. Plenty of food. We both had to go boxes. On top of that the chocolate chip cheesecake was to die for! The restaurant does not take reservations. We got our food quickly. The restaurant was packed when we left. The road construction has not hurt their business. You make GREAT food and they will come!
Neat and cozy Italian restaurant. The food was good as was the service. We were received with a smile and seated quickly. There is a small bar that seats around 8. Be sure to get there early to have a seat. Our group of six ate for around $120 which includes the $20 tip. Neat location and relaxed atmosphere.
We've been here several times for lunch, then went last night for dinner with friends.
Food: Southern Italian, with lots of seafood choices. Everything we've had has been excellent. The sauces are all terrific, portions are generous, and the house specialties are creative and tasty. You know how you go to a place and order the "seafood risotto" and it comes with two clams, a shrimp and a couple of squid parts? Yeah, this isn't that place -- the seafood risotto here came with a giant pile of shrimp, lobster, mussels, and clams, more seafood than rice, and made for a large dinner and enough leftovers for a large lunch.
Service: professional, knowledgeable, experienced. Listen to your server's suggestions :)
Atmosphere: this is a small place, with a bar at one end and maybe a dozen tables. No reservations accepted. It was busy on a mid-week night, but there was no line. It's not too loud, for which I am thankful.
Price: the prices are at the moderately high end for Winston-Salem. You can get a nice plate of pasta for $15, but most of the seafood dishes are $30 or so. However, after eating there several times and marveling at the quantity and quality of the seafood in particular, I'm starting to think the prices are very reasonable (and maybe even a little low for some dishes.)
TL;DR: this place is great and we'll be back.
