Had full tea here today with my husband and loved everything! The perfect way to spend a rainy day. We got Earl Grey and Blackberry Raspberry Tea and enjoyed both. The service was prompt and friendly and we had a wonderful selection of food on our tea tray. Croissant sandwiches, cucumber Dill treats, beet slaw and amazing scones with clotted cream! It's located on the ground level of a beautiful bed and breakfast I'd love to stay in someday!
We had a lovely time celebrating my mother & my birthdays. Not sure it was worth $26/person (after 18% gratitude for a group) Odd that the only seating was out on the patio that day however the house is were all the charm is. I would give it another try next time I'm in Winston Salem.
We were so happy to work with the Flour Box team for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary party. Everything was top-notch, from nice and professional communication to kind service to delicious food. I highly recommend them for such an event!
The food and tea were excellent. The loss of star is because we came during a rush and had a reservation, the hostess at first denied that we were the people we were because she was so flustered. She then showed us to our table by speed walking while talking to another server and left us without another word in front of an empty table that we had to assume was ours. Disappointed in that treatment. I understand it was busy but at least take the time to say "this is your table" so people aren't standing in the middle of the hall awkwardly trying to figure out what's going on.
Afterwards our server was amazing. So kind and understanding and very patient. She redeemed the whole experience.
I do want to go again, I just hope the hostess is more polite next time.
We had a wonderful high tea! The food was delicious and there was a wide verity of teas. The staff was amazing!!! They truly went above and beyond.
I will also note- DO NOT park across the street! I have been to the Henry Shaffner House multiple times and had always parked there but this time my car was towed. The lovely staff helped me get to the towing company and retrieve my car.
