LOCAL 27101

I work downtown and have eaten at Local several times. It has always been delicious and the service spectacular, but today I tried something new and it was a game changer. The fried chicken sandwich is amazing. Get it. Also, for grabbing a quick - good - lunch downtown the price can't be beat. You would pay just as much or more for ONE sandwich and a drink or a side (not a full meal) at Jimmy Johns.

Lots of great places to eat in downtown Winston but this is by far the most budget conscious. Small menu but everything is good and lots of options to customise, plus really quick service makes this a great spot especially for lunch

I ordered my food close to 2 pm and they still took my order and held the doors open for me to get there and were the nicest people EVER! It was my first time trying them out and definitely not my last. Excellent service! I am bringing people with me next time. The food was FANTASTIC! Definitely adding to my faves list!!

Always love it here. The Cobb Salad is WONDERFUL!!! Service is usually pretty quick, but you can always call it in and eat there. They are very good about keeping to the timetable they give you over the phone. Can be loud inside, but on a warm day, the outdoor dining is great!

It was my first time coming here. I looked them up online ahead of time to make sure they had something vegan (I'm not strictly vegan though). I ordered their sweet potato burger $8, along with some sweet potato fries $3. I guess it was a sweet potato kinda day. My burger was great but LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THESE FRIES - they were made to please the Greek gods. Rosemary, sea salt and honey mustard (on the side). I mean, they were truly perfect. I'm getting teary eyed just reminiscing. I will definitely be back - mainly for the fries.

Now the ambiance is open and airy - kudos to the large windows and natural lighting. They close at 2:00, so get here early so you can relax and enjoy the vibe. Oh, the cashier was quite pleasant! I hope she's there when I come back!
