Sir Winston Wine Loft & Restaurant

We shared soooo many things! The coffee rubbed wings, the pimento sausage dip, the fennel salad, (oh....the fennel salad!!!!) The meatloaf, the spicy hen, the Brussels, the pimento Mac and cheese and even the peanut butter pie. We are huge foodies and are usually always looking for something better. We had nothing to complain about and everything to rave about while at Sir Winston's! I would have to say that the fig & fennel salad is hands down one of my very favorite salads, ever! The smoked bourbon and coffee rubbed wings are the best I've ever tried in NC. We asked the chef to increase the heat for the spicy honey sauce, for the Hot Honey Hen...which had the most perfectly crispy outside that I've ever experienced. Perfection. The whole table fought over the pimento cheese sausage dip. The meatloaf Wellington was perfectly cooked and flavored. The mushroom, the fig glace, and wine flavors all pulled the dish together so nicely. I haven't been so excited and so happy about an overall atmosphere, service and restaurant experience in a very long time! Now, they are new and they weren't a lot of people there, but I'm telling you, for this group of foodies, we have found a diamond. All the flavor, all the class, none of the pretentiousness.

This place was phenomenal. Beautiful interior and really fun atmosphere and the food was AMAZING. The pimento cheese sausage dip appetizer was so good. Couldn’t recommend this enough!! (Sarah our waitress was great)

Our experience was amazing. We made an Open Table reservation so our table was ready for us. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. Each of us ordered different menu items...apps, entrees and a dessert. All were very good. The wait times for food and drink were better than expected. We weren't in a hurry, but would have been able to get in and out if we were. I'm sad to read all the poor reviews (and glad I didn't read them before our visit). I hope they have turned the corner on the issues mentioned earlier. I would recommend; we will go back.
