We ordered a shrimp salad, Shrimp Gumbo, and shrimp and grits. I must say it was worth every spoon full. Staff was polite and welcoming. The chef the owner was top notch! We truly enjoyed our dinner and our time there. Thank you Blue Denim.
Today while visiting the downtown of Greensboro we were recommended the Blue Denim for lunch. Right in town so just a short stroll. We were surprised to see the Cajun recipes on the menu. Delicious! Started out with the FGT friend green tomatoes, could eat a whole dish of those. Then onto my Shrimpboat with tasty strawberry mango salsa. My friends had the Seafood gumbo they said was amazing and the oyster poorboy. We were told the bread was from New Orleans. Service was friendly and only a short wait. Such a nice find. Would definitely go there again.
I would recomend this restaurant. The menu is a bit limited, but food was delicious! Service was a tad slower than preferred at times, but there also was no rush in pushing my friend and I out the door. We were able to catch up for 3 hours with great food, and friendly, inviting staff the whole time. Atmosphere is small, cozy, laid back, and very welcoming.
Delicious food! Everything we've gotten here is fabulous. The owner/chef and staff make you feel so welcome! This place is a treasure!
Blue Denim is small but has incredible food, a very quaint atmosphere, and outstanding service. Our waitress was Naomi and she was very nice and attentive to our wants/needs and was very forthcoming with recommendations on the food selections, which we greatly appreciated. We ordered the Po-Boy Sub with fried Oysters w/fries and the same with Shrimp. The prices are reasonable and the portions were plentiful. We will definitely be back! The only two downsides are parking, which is a challenge for any downtown establishment, and their ability for holding only about 50 customers at a time. We were told that they DO take reservations (recommended) and that most weekends, there is a line to get in! This is a testament to how good the food is and regrettably their small size. Also, unless there is parking on the street readily available, I would save time and just park in the city owned parking deck about a block away. It's free yo park there after 6 (I think). Overall, I highly recommend Blue Denim!
