BBQ Joe's Country Cooking

Went twice for dinner with family. New waitresses aren't quite as friendly as we're used to. But the food is still good. I had the senior combo with sliced BBQ. Others had meat loaf, chicken etc. Their hushpuppies are like doughnuts, so sweet I eat them for dessert. No complaints about food, but the service could have been a bit quicker and more friendly. New smoked turkey on the menu now. All I can say is, Awesome!!!! Wonderful on the turkey sandwich or by itself. Do yourself a favor and try it. You won't be disappointed.a

While a little out of the way for me, this was worth the trip. The waitress was pleasant, the service was prompt, and the food was good. There was nothing superlative about the restaurant or its food which is why I am giving it four stars: it was homemade southern cooking done right, but not exceedingly well. The restaurant was a bit dimly lit, but other than that, I think a solid 4/4.5 is an appropriate rating for this place.

This is by far the best BBQ Brisket I have ever had! The smell when you open the door is AMAZING!! The staff is so welcoming and efficient, and the selection is vast, so it's hard to decide just what to try. The hushpuppies are little donut shapes and melt in your mouth. The sweet potato casserole almost put me into a food coma, it was THAT good! Come in any try BBQ Joe's you will NOT be disappointed! I can't wait for my next trip!

We were in the area, and we went here based on the good reviews! From the outside, it isn’t anything pretty! Every waitress in the place was helpful and friendly. Appreciated being greeted with a smile! Ordered sweet tea, pulled pork, mac & cheese, apples and of course the hush puppies! I can’t stop thinking about those hush puppies. Service was quick - we had our food in no time! BBQ sauce had a great flavor. We couldn’t get enough. Definitely recommend if you are passing through High Point!
