Fantastic barbecue, great atmosphere, and super friendly staff!! The signature sauce was delicious over the juicy pulled pork, and all sides were great! Too bad others put a one or two star rating because of limited hours - this place is 5 stars all the way!!
I'm proud and grateful to say I work here and I love it. The only thing better is that I get to eat here...for free! The brisket is delicious, but y'all knew that already. You've gotta try the pickles. Yes, the PICKLES! I won't divulge any secrets...but I will say they are unlike any pickles I've ever had. And they're made in-house...of course. See ya on your next visit (or first!). Say hello.
The ribs are huge and delicious. I had mine naked and used the "s" sauce. Mac and cheese is top notch and extremely cheesey!
I went at lunch with my husband today and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of ingredients on everything we sampled. The smoked meats reminded me of Houston while the sides were strictly North Carolina in the best way. The only warning is this place is going to struggle with seating as you get your food on a tray up front before you sit down - and by noon the seats were almost all full. What to do if you have food and no seat???
Fabulous! Just had my first meal at Black Powder Smokehouse after hearing all of the hype. Let me just say that the hype did not do it justice. This place is absolutely fantastic. The brisket fell apart and the flavor was excellent. I tried the gouda mac 'n' cheese and the baked beans as sides. Both were perfectly tasty and the best I've ever had of either. Needless to say, I'm a huge fan and will be back again and again.
