BearWaters Brewing Company: Creekside

Love the atmosphere. Great natural waterfall. Food would only get 3 stars. My husband ordered cheeseburger nachos and there wasn't any visible meat. The nachos were boring. We did enjoy the outdoor music.

Was so excited a brewery finally opened up in our town of Maggie Valley after visiting for over a decade. We found 2 beers we liked and enjoyed the amazing and spacious patio overlooking the creek. Got one of their big pretzels and dove into almost all the tacos on the menu. Only thing holding this place back from 5 stars were the tacos. They were all a bit too spicy to successfully pair with the high(er) alcohol beers (spice + high alc = a very hot palate). They also all needed a bit more salt. We literally took the large salt that had fallen off our pretzel and seasoned our tacos, and it made a big improvement. Oh! And service was 100%. Friendly, prompt. They did a great job hiring their staff for sure, especially when the place is so new.

Good beer. We enjoyed the ciders. Go foe rhe Jumbo pretzel with beer cheese. Tacos were too expensive for a mexican size street taco $6 each. Interesting flavors though. Dill zucchini, califlower, beer braised chicken with fried kale, carnitas. Nice view with tables overlooking creek.

This place just opened a month ago. I guess right after Corona quarantine lifted and went to phase two. Everyone was spread apart, which I liked. The beer is good and the food is tacos, but not the ordinary taco. I usually don't like tacos, but this was a delicious mix of flavors. I would absolutely come back. A bonus was sitting under a shade tree by the river.

Great to have a brewery in maggie valley. One beer o had was perfect, the other not so much but just different flavors. Nothing to say negative about it. Staff was great. Food on the other hand I could’ve done without. I got traditional steak tacos. Little pricier per taco than I assumed, not a huge deal there. But it was super dry. Should’ve tried something else.
