The Moonshine Grill

No longer called moonshine grill ....now called Willie Brooks BBQ .....

Great place to go awesome food

We showed up here pretty close to closing time as we were a bit late getting back in to town. We were worried we were cutting it too close, but we were seated and taken care of with excellent service. Jessica was our server, and was attentive without being over bearing. We were a bit worried when two other large parties showed up and Jessica was the only server, but she still managed to get us everything we needed as fast as possible. The food was good, my girlfriend had the french onion soup and said it's the best she's ever had. Smoked wings and two salads with chicken were the other dishes at our table and I don't believe there were any complaints to be had. At the end of our meal, Lydia stopped by to see if we needed anything else and spent a few minutes talking about the area and giving us some recommendations. We will definitely be back here.

There are other fancier restaurants in the area, but none that serve North Carolina trout as well as this place. You can have it grilled, fried or blackened. Mine favorite choice is grilled with a sweet potato served with maple syrup butter.Tucked inside the Smoky Falls Lodge, it is worth a visit.

We really enjoyed the meal. Staff great. Smelled so good I ate it before I could photograph it. Check out the wall art. Don't let them fool you though, popcorn Sutton lives!
