The food was good but not great. Someone recommended the shrimp, lobster and grits entree so I tried it but didn't love it. The sauce seemed thin to me. My husband was very pleased with his shrimp and flounder, and we both enjoyed a side order of hush puppies. Our server was very nice but a little slow. All in all, I would go back if in the area again.
This is one of my favorite restaurants around waynesville, no questions asked. The food here is absolutely amazing, and I've been craving some of their food since I had surgery which is very weird. But the staff are attentive, friendly, and the service is fairly fast here, but not somewhere you'd eat if you're in a rush. They have a nice fish tank as well, which adds to the pretty look of the interior. I would love to eat here more often, but we mainly save this place for special occasions since the prices are a little high and it's a bit more fancy than most restaurants around here.
We were looking for snow crabs in the area and found this restaurant. Didn’t expect much but it by far exceeded expectations. The seafood chowder was great. The crab legs were THE best crabs I’ve ever had in my life. Cooked to perfection. Every leg cracked open came out in chunks of meat. It just slid right out. Every crevice had delicious meat inside of it. So good. 10/10 would recommend. The sweet potato casserole was amazing as well. Prices can’t be beat. Service was great and the bloody Mary’s are to die for. Go to Maggie’s!! You won’t regret it.
We go to Maggies Galley Seafood whenever we head to North Carolina. They have a decent amount of seafood and choices on how to prepare it. The portions are fine and the price is good for what you get. They do have a bat if you want alcoholic beverages. The Black Walnut Pie us amazing if you have room for dessert. The building looks small but the do have ample seating.
Had one of the best meals of my life - - scallops were out of this world, the sweet potato casserole was out of this world, and the vegetable side, which I don't remember now, was absolutely exceptional. 7 months later now in Florida I can't wait to get back to it and have that again, and I consider myself a gourmet food eater.
Came back from Florida and ate there again April 13. Scallops were superb and sweet potato casserole was absolutely wonderful.
