It’s the same owner as the previous restaurant, with a new name and a great new menu! They also have a nice covered patio, which I love to have the option to sit outside.”

“This was our first time coming to the Red Fox and we were extremely impressed! The building and decor have so much thought put into the design and coordination. There was plenty of seating and apart from the bar the tables were all wheel chair accessible. I also love that the tables are spaced apart well so it does not feel cramped at all. We tried the pimento cheese skillet to start and I’m honestly obsessed, it was perfect! For entrees we tried the smash burger with seasoned fried which was cooked perfectly and not at all dry. We also tried the chicken tenders with grilled veggies which were delicious and the ribs with mashed potatoes that were perfectly tender. Service was great, our server Allison was attentive and polite. Some of the reviews complaining about wait times really need to consider that this was their opening weekend, they were packed open to close and it’s Memorial Day weekend as well. Overall a great experience!”

“We had a fantastic breakfast outside with a group of 15 and everything we had was delicious! The pancakes are solid and the Spicy Goat Chicken was surprisingly great! “How should I start this... when they brought out the chicken, my eyes lit up with excitement. My girlfriend took a bite and started moaning more than the last time we had "fun." She was so pleased she actually cried. She said it was because the chicken was so hot, but I really think she was the one who was hot 🔥. I thought it was really great chicken, but I didn't understand her pure pleasure until they brought out the cheesecake. Guys, not many things in life can bring as much pure bliss and happiness as this cheesecake. The cheesecake was smoother than our silk sheets. It was like the gates of heaven opened, and I finally saw the light. Please do yourself and your loved ones a favor and eat this perfect chicken. Move over Chick-fil-A, a new player is in town, and they are making your chicken seem like a dirty wash cloth.”

“I brought my family here because we had been to Scotland and really enjoyed the atmosphere and food of the pubs we had visited. We were able to park in a parking lot right next to the location, which was great. We walked in and found that we could get ourselves some menus and find ourselves a seat. It was pretty hard to find a seat because it’s very popular and we had five in our party, but we found one relatively quickly. We ordered at our table, which was an easy process, the people working were very kind and patient. They have a water dispenser at the bar for those who need it, which was really cool. On to the food… my pictures are not the best because I was so excited to dig in that I forgot to take a picture when the appetizer and my meal came out. The haggis egg rolls were interesting, but I don’t think they were my favorite. The chicken schnitzel was absolutely amazing, though. Very nice and crispy, and a hefty portion. The lemon went very well on it. We also got the mac and cheese, and it was not as spicy as I had anticipated, so it was really good. All in all, we had a great time here, and I would love to come back to try more of their menu.”

“I no longer golf due to disability’s. When we went on Golf Trips with friends this was the place we always made a point of staying for several days and playing golf. I absolutely loved playing golf on this course. It was always in good shape and the scenery around the course was so enjoyable. I loved looking on the hills and seeing the cows grazing on the hillside. It reminded me of a country calendar picture. My husband and I would come on our own for a quick 3 day trip every once in awhile also. We have since moved to Charlotte NC but then we would make the drive from Miami Fl. I always found myself being taken back in time when we stayed at this charming resort.”

“Dough Boys Pizza is the bomb. You only need “one bite” to know what’s popping off in your mouth. Fresh ingredients, sauce that you can tell is made home made and literally the best mozzarella cheese I’ve ever had. The crust has the right amount of flop and better yet a good crunch. The perfect bite away pizza. My personal favorite is add sundries tomatoes , bacon and jalapeños. Beat pizza in town.”

“The food is good. Nothing amazing but competently made and fairly priced. Pretty quick too. Beer is above average. Out of several things I wanted but that's a good sign. Heavy rotation. Really cool space both inside and out. Service is a weak point. Two people running the entire floor wasn't covering it on a Tuesday afternoon. The bartender was constantly behind. The food runner was fast but someone could have had her pouring beers for the bartender in between table runs. Would have changed the whole flow. These are beer people, not restaurant people. Just a heads up. But definitely worth the visit. Just don't expect a seamless experience.”

“My wife and I decided to ditch our family on Thanksgiving to drive 500 miles to see mountains. We decided this was as good a place as any to have Thanksgiving dinner. Being the only place open helped, but we don't have many Shoney's where we live so we probably would have eaten here anyway. Thankfully we made the right choice. The food was fresh, varied, plentiful, and delicious. My favorite was the greens.”

“Unbelievably fantastic Cuban food! I had the Cuban sandwich and I was transported back to Tampa FL. Tampa was were I experienced authentic Cuban food for the first time and I still can't believe we have such a little gem here in Waynesville. The family moved up from Miami and brought their food and culture with them to share with us. Looking forward to returning to The Cuban Guy as soon as I can. Btw, the plantains are to die for. :)”
